Tēnā koutou, Ni sa bula vinaka, Watawei, Talofa lava and warm greetings of the world,
I am born and bred in West Auckland, a community that remains the heartbeat of my life and the foundation of my family’s journey. My identity is woven from a rich whakapapa reaching from Wainunu, Bua, in Vanua Levu, Fiji, to Norfolk Island (Tahiti, West Indies and England), and across to England, Ireland, Scotland, and Wales. I carry the stories of my ancestors with pride, striving to honour my tupuna through my dedicated mahi with our Māori and Pacific communities and the diverse whānau of West Auckland.

With 20 years of experience across the sector, from Early Childhood to Year 8, I have been privileged to serve in various leadership roles, including Senior Leadership, Pedagogical Leader, Kahui Ako Across School Lead Teacher, and now PLG leader here at HNS. My work is anchored in Relationships First and Culturally Responsive Practice, ensuring that every learner feels safe, seen, and deeply connected to their identity. I believe education is a fundamental right, and I am passionate about creating a space where the unique knowledge and lived experiences our students bring to the classroom are valued as essential to our collective learning. I feel incredibly blessed to serve our amazing school and to advocate for our tamariki as they navigate their educational journey.
