Deputy Principal

Tēnā koe, ko Matua Paul ahau.
I’ve lived in Tāmaki ki te Uru (West Auckland) for most of my life and feel a strong connection to this community. My wife and I are proud parents of three children, now mostly grown. Staying active is important to me, as is caring for Papatūānuku. I believe we have a responsibility to leave the whenua in a better state for future generations.
Henderson North School is one of my happy places, and it’s a privilege to be part of a team dedicated to supporting our young people. In my role as Deputy Principal, I oversee assessment and reporting, and I’m also actively involved across the Kura, promoting sport and contributing to our Garden to Table programme. Through this, our learners have the opportunity to grow, harvest, prepare, and share kai. I strongly believe that the more connected we are to nature, the healthier and more resilient our communities will be.
