My name is Cheng Huang, and I am delighted to be part of the Henderson North School whānau.

I have over 12 years of teaching experience across early childhood, tertiary, and primary education. Before becoming a teacher, I worked as a journalist in China, which inspired my passion for communication, curiosity, and lifelong learning.

I am passionate about creating a calm, consistent, and enjoyable learning environment where every tamariki feels safe, valued, and supported. I believe that strong relationships are the foundation of successful learning, and I strive to help children develop resilience, perseverance, and confidence.

I also have a strong interest in STEM education and enjoy incorporating hands-on science and inquiry-based learning experiences that encourage curiosity and problem-solving.
