Hello, my name is Ian Cartwright. I am the year 5/6 teacher in Room 3. I am very fortunate to be teaching 29 wonderful students with enormous potential. I believe in setting very high standards, and providing a positive, safe learning environment where learners feel cherished, and can grow and flourish. Building positive relationships is key to learning, and I encourage students to show empathy, build others up, and treat everyone as they want to be treated. (Matthew 7:12) I really encourage children to step out of their comfort zone and rise to challenges (camp, school shows etc) and become life-long learners. Once you're part of Room 3, you are always part of Room 3! Whanau, we consider you a vital part of our learning process, and you are welcome in Room 3 at any time! God bless.
